The Weaving (IER/UK)

Friday 29 January 2027 Doors 20:00 · Start 20:30 ‘Nouter Club

Driven by a shared love for traditional music, the musicians of The Weaving exchanged tunes learned from family and friends in kitchens and pubs across Ireland and England. This is how they developed their own sound, where energetic dance music and raw, pure harmonies come together, fueled by a deep-rooted understanding of their musical heritage.

The Weaving (aka The Méabh Begley Trio) consists of Méabh Begley (diatonic accordion), Owen Spafford (fiddle), and Cáit Ní Riain (piano). The trio brings together the rich musical traditions of Corca Dhuibhne (West Kerry), County Tipperary, and Yorkshire, their respective home regions. Their shared musical language emerged in the Gaeltacht of West Kerry, where they first met.
