More about this project

TRAM is an invitation to experience the border region in a different way, with a focus on slowness, wonder, and connection.

What?/Quoi?
With TRAM, the municipality of Heuvelland, the municipality of Saint-Jans-Cappel, the Centre Culturel de Comines-Warneton, and ‘Nouter Club are joining forces for a special cross-border project.
To achieve this, we work on 3 different pillars:

TRAM school
In TRAM school, we want to give children the opportunity to connect with each other through culture. Children come into contact with one another through school performances.

TRAM plus
With TRAM plus, we want to organize several beautiful cross-border events for a wide audience. Such as the cultural event Black Hill Project, circus performance Nova, the spoken word performance “O feu ma terre”,….

TRAM bike
Under this pillar, we organize cultural experiential bike tours. During this festival, the landscape becomes the backdrop for an artistic journey of discovery where music, street theater, heritage, and nature meet. Visitors follow a carefully mapped-out route and are immersed in a diverse cultural program along the way. Intimate concerts, surprising performances, and unique locations create a total experience where connection is central: between artist and audience, but also between different communities and cultures.
